One-step Preparation of butyl butyrate from n-butyraldehyde
Butyl butyrate is a colorless, fruit-scented liquid, naturally found in fruits such as apples, bananas, grapes and strawberries at room temperature. synthetic products are mainly used in the manufacture of edible flavors and daily chemicals, and can also be used as solvents for resins and coatings such as nitrocellulose and coumarone.
The traditional production process uses n-butanoic acid and n-butanol as raw materials, concentrated sulfuric acid as catalyst and esterification method to produce butyl butanoic acid.
Preparation of butyrate by catalytic conversion of n-butyraldehyde solved the technical problems of long preparation route, serious corrosion of equipment, high pollution, complex post-treatment process, high production cost and high energy consumption of butyl butyrate.
The technology selectivity of one-step catalytic conversion of n-butanal to prepare butyrate is more than 98%, the purity of the product is more than 99%, the comprehensive technology has reached the international leading level, and it is suitable for the preparation and industrial production of ten thousand tons scale process package.
